This book was cute and sweet, and just what I was hoping for. The description seemed a little convoluted to me, but since I love Susan's books I decided to try it, and I am so glad I did.

I question some of the heroine's thought processes and sometimes thought she was a bit "simple" but overall, this was a good story. I finished it in a day.
I really enjoyed this book. Jonathan didn't think he was capable of loving anyone, because of his parents and brother. Cynthia showed him that she believed in him even when he didn't believe in himself. I loved to see Jonathan's interactions with Colton and than Jonathan realizing he couldn't live without Cynthia. Jonathan watching Cynthia and Colton together and than also realizing how much he loved Cynthia and Colton. I loved how strong Cynthia's character was and how much what Cynthia's family thought of Jonathan meant to him. It was a great book!!
I really enjoyed this book. It had several surprises throughout the book which I didn't expect. Once again, Susan Mallery has outdone herself.
While I thought the story line was good, I have to wonder if the story was finished the way the author invisioned it. The book starts out with two people meeting at a charity ball and then a mysterious gunman kills Jonathan Steele's brother and sister-in-law (not a great loss). From there the story starts to fizzle. We never find out who the killer was. Then the FBI is mentioned like two times, but we never find out why they are involved. I did like the romance between Cynthia and Jonathan, but felt the plot could have been developed more to have more of a side story. I will admit it was an easy read (1 day), but I would have rather had a longer book with more explination and excitement.
Jonathan Steele warned his half-brother David that he must replace embezzled funds or face arrest. David laughs him off, stating that while he and his wife are out of the country, Jonathan will suffer a fatal accident. In short order, a mysterious killer murders David and his wife while Cynthia Morgan drinks poisoned coffee meant for Jonathan. When Cynthia learns Jonathan is now left with custody of his nephew, she offers her company's temporary nanny services. Jonathan agrees, if Cynthia will be the nanny once she is out of the hospital. Jonathan is attracted to Cynthia, but he doesn't believe in love and happily ever after.
A nice tale with an unsolved mystery which will be addressed in another author's book. Jonathan's background clearly explains his reluctance to believe in love. The lack of FBI agents swarming around Jonathan after the murder was unrealistic.
Cinderella stories are very common but I found this one heartwarming and full of good values. A little cliche in parts but worth the read. I really enjoyed it.
I was disappointed in this book; I love all Susan's books. Jonathan had many outside forces working against him, but I found him rather annoying at times. It seemed as though Cynthia had 2 babies to care for. I also felt the book had too much "background thinking/set-up" going on. It did end well though.
